While the options for relaxation and "extreme wave watching" are plenty in this natural setting, this lagoon on the south-side of Aruba is also ideal for a wide variety of marine activities.

Explore the coastline by kayak, sail, snorkel or dive. The lagoon is the mooring place of the Tranquilo, a 43-foot sailing yacht that offers several different scenic cruises. Many diving operations on the island use the lagoon for diving tours including classes for beginners. There is also a kayaking operation nearby, located adjacent to the Aruba Nautical yacht-club.There’s even an open air drive-inn cinema nearby featuring the latest movies.

The cabanas are within walking distance from two small convenience stores, and the Marina Pirata, one of the best restaurants on the island. 

For those who would like to go home with their own work of art as a souvenir, Giolina Henriquez, a reknown Aruban artist happens to be a good friend of ours and has her waterfront atelier nearby, offering workshops and day-classes in painting and drawing.
